About
Over the last decade, I have dedicated myself to help build a stronger community. In recent years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Tallahassee to advocate on behalf of small business owners and families in Florida. While serving as a State Director for Florida Realtors, I was privileged to represent over 160,000 Realtors, their interests, and our communities. Advocating for lower taxes, private property rights, affordable workforce housing and a small business friendly environment has awarded me the experience needed to fight for you as your State Representative in Tallahassee.
Born in Havana Cuba, I am the son of immigrant’s who in 1988 settled in South Florida, seeking freedom and prosperity. From these humble beginnings, I learned the importance of hard work, dedication and the value of never giving up. I understand the challenges families and small businesses face every day. We need strong leadership in Tallahassee to advocate and support legislation to enhance Florida’s education system, support efforts to protect our children and seniors, and expand business opportunities by reducing regulatory burdens on small businesses. We need to create reliable and dependable transportation alternatives to alleviate traffic congestions in the district and promote intelligent and responsible growth while protecting private property rights. These are some of the issues that I am committed to improving, and have been advocating for in Tallahassee in recent years.
My wife, Eileen, and I purchased our first home in this community back in 2002. We were blessed to welcome our four children, Enrique, Eduardo, Ernesto and Elizabeth into this community, where they continue to grow and prosper. In 2002, I graduated from Florida International University but being an entrepreneur at heart, in 2006 I began my career in Real Estate. Over the last 11 years I have gained a deep understanding and respect for our community, its residents and its small business owners. I get to hear firsthand from current residents, and families moving into the district, about our community’s strengths and about the areas we need to work on together. My vision for the future of our district is to closely work with residents, business and community leaders to address the current challenges we face – Better job opportunities, lowering taxes, improving the education system, identifying better transit solutions and smarter economic development.

Let’s work together and bring about real change and prosperity to our community. I am asking for your support and your vote for Florida State Representative for District 119.
